Monte Uzulu

Oaxacan Coast, Mexico - May 2024

Monte Uzulu is an eco-friendly, boutique hotel in San Agustinillo, a small town on the coast of Mexico’s Oaxaca coast. The hotel features 11 suites, merging jungle living with contemporary and bohemian design.

The design and comprehensive conception of Monte Uzulu's furniture were handled by Taller LU'UM, a specialized firm in the development of architecture and interior design projects. Taller LU’UM collaborated with artisanal groups across Mexico and paid special attention to environmental sustainability.

Monte Uzulu meets the needs of sinks, showers, and tubs through three water supply sources - water trucks, public pipelines, and rainwater-collecting palapas.
